Year 1 is a leap from EYFS with lots of learning through play to a more formal learning structure.  We started using our Maths workbooks to solve problems.

This half-term we looked back at the famous Queens of England.  We drew around 3 children and used the template to make collages of Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria. 

We were joined by Art students from Ormiston Bushfield Academy in Peterborough who taught us techniques to create some amazing pieces of art.

In science, we started looking at seasonal changes, and we began to get excited about Christmas when we made our Christingles for the first service of advent.
